Pay-Per-Use Pricing

The Practice Suite is pay-per-use for communication services. Instead of adding estimated text, email, and calling fees to your monthly subscription, you are charged based on how much you actually use.

Important Pricing Information

All prices are in US Dollars unless otherwise specified.
The Practice Suite is pay-per-use. Text, email, and calling charges are based on your actual usage.
Phone numbers are $1.72 per month for local numbers and $3.22 per month for toll-free numbers. This monthly fee applies to each phone number added to your account.
Calls are billed per minute. The amount depends on whether the call is incoming or outgoing and the number of billable minutes used.
Text messages are billed per SMS segment. One visible text message may use more than one paid segment depending on its length and the characters used.

How SMS Segments Work

SMS is charged by segment, not simply by the number of visible text messages you send.

The number of segments depends on both the length of the message and the type of characters used.

Standard GSM-7

160 characters

A standard GSM-7 text can contain up to 160 characters in one SMS segment.

Unicode / Emoji

70 characters

Emojis and certain special characters can switch the entire message to Unicode, reducing one segment to approximately 70 characters.

Longer Text Messages

GSM-7 messages longer than 160 characters are split into multiple segments, with up to 153 characters available in each multi-part segment.
Unicode messages longer than 70 characters are split into multiple segments, with up to 67 characters available in each multi-part segment.
Each segment is billed separately.

Best Practice Keep messages concise and use standard GSM-7 characters whenever possible. Emojis, smart quotes, long dashes, some accented characters, special symbols, and hidden formatting may increase the number of SMS segments.

Bulk messaging discounts are not currently available.
